Install

Install M2 without lowering Android security.

Choose the APK that matches your device, let Android approve only the browser or file manager you used, and review PackageInstaller confirmation.

  1. Choose an APK. Use the arm64 build for most current devices, or the universal build when the architecture is unknown.
  2. Download from the official immutable endpoint. Links on the Download page resolve to the dedicated M2 release Worker.
  3. Allow this source when Android asks. Grant permission only to the browser or file manager handling this download.
  4. Review PackageInstaller. Confirm that Android is installing or updating M2. Installation is never silent.
  5. Open M2. Create a Channel or join with invitation material from a trusted sender.
  6. Keep the signed update path intact. When a newer compatible trusted release is mandatory, M2 remains at the update screen until a verified update is installed.

Troubleshooting

Unsupported Android version

The current release requires Android 13 or later. Update the operating system or use a compatible device.

“Install unknown apps” permission

Enable permission only for the current browser or file manager when Android asks. You do not need to disable Android security controls globally. You may revoke the permission after installation.

Verification or download failure

Delete the incomplete file, return to the official Download page, and download again on a stable connection. Advanced operators can compare SHA-256 and the signing fingerprint.

PackageInstaller cancellation

Cancellation leaves the existing app unchanged. If the update is mandatory, M2 remains blocked until the verified update is accepted and completes.
